Week 14!
So time moves incredibly fast…
This week was such an exciting week because part of my Iowa family came to visit! Erika, Jess, and Elise, thank you so much for visiting! It was so fun to see you all and get to explore my little pocket of Australia with you!
I came home from Brisbane on Tuesday with Erika and then Elise and Jess flew in on Wednesday so I went and grabbed dinner with them Wednesday and Thursday night because I still had class (bummer) but spent Friday evening through Sunday afternoon with them! During this time we went to the beach, did some souvenir shopping, and most importantly, HELD KOALAS! Are you kidding me?? Elise looked at me and said that’s what she wanted to do and I was all in, so on Saturday, Erika, Elise, and I went to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and walked around the zoo and made a new koala best friend: Herby! He has so soft and cuddly and it was hands down a highlight experience on my 20 years on this Earth! I loved him.
The family time was much needed and I was so sad to see them hop off to Brisbane this afternoon but do not fear, my parents and sister are coming in three short weeks! Cheers to my last week of classes; time is moving insanely fast!
